The Cereal that Wasn't

So, I said I was heading to the grocery store yesterday-- turns out I wasn't. I ended up spending the day with the kids at my parents hanging out and didn't quite make it to the store. So, today I make grand plans and a list and head out with Minor Munchkin to pick up Miss Munchkin from school. I ran out and left the list. Given that Miss Munchkins HATES going shopping and had just completed a day of school, let's just say she wasn't exactly on her best behavior. So, I could remember I needed Baby Wipes. This is the kind of thing you don't forget. You say it to yourself over and over and over because you can't imagine not having them! So, in I go with the mantra "Must get baby wipes, baby wipes, baby wipes, and whatever else was on the list." Well, now, that would be CEREAL! So, we're doing pretty good through the baby wipes, and a few more aisles when suddenly I have had it with Miss Munchkins insesent sing-songing and suddenly ZAP I have totally forgotten everything else on my list ~ particularly cereal. So, I grabbed a few more things and headed for the checkout. Only upon returning home and discovering my list right where I had left it did I exclaim "CEREAL!" THAT'S the other thing I really needed!

So, alas, either the hubby is heading out for it this evening or it's one more day of mystery breakfast.
